Privacy, in plain English
The short version: we don't want your data, so we don't collect it. Here's exactly what that looks like in practice.
- 01 What we collect
Almost nothing.
There's no signup, so there's no profile, password, or email of record. The URLs you shorten are sent to is.gd (the shortening service) but are not stored by us and are not tied to any identity on our servers.
- 02 Link history
Stored locally, not remotely.
Your recent shortened links are saved in your browser's localStorage so you can access them later. This data never leaves your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- 03 Analytics
Aggregate, anonymous.
We use privacy-friendly analytics for things like page views, browser type, and country — never personal identifiers, never cross-site tracking, never ad networks following you around the internet.
- 04 Cookies & storage
Local only.
We use browser localStorage to remember your link history and your light/dark theme preference. That's it. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no fingerprinting.
- 05 Third parties
Kept to a minimum.
When you shorten a URL, it is processed by is.gd, whose own privacy policy applies to that operation. We use a small number of infrastructure providers for hosting and DNS, none of whom receive personal data from us.
- 06 Your rights
Nothing to request.
Since we don't store accounts or personal data tied to you, there's nothing to export, correct, or delete on our side. Clearing your browser's localStorage removes your link history immediately.
- 07 Changes
Updated in the open.
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we update the date at the top of this page. No silent rewrites, no buried diffs.
